Northern Ireland will face Hungary, Ukraine and Georgia in Group B2 of the 2026-27 UEFA Nations League after the draw in Brussels saw Michael O’Neill’s men avoid the heavyweights of League B. The draw has also provided a rematch of Northern Ireland’s famous Euro 2016 meeting with Ukraine, where O’Neill’s side became the Kings of Lyon, masterminding a famous 2-0 win to reach the knockouts on their return to major tournament action. Due to the war in Ukraine, Northern Ireland will not play the 30th-ranked side - who are the best ranked team in the group - in their home country, with the away fixture potentially taking place in Budapest despite Hungary also being in the same group. Should they be involved, the Play-Offs will occur in March. Relive the draw on our LIVE blog below!
