National security police enter CUHK as probe into protest begins

Dozens of graduating students staged a protest in CUHK yesterday. A number of police officers from the national security unit enter the Chinese University of Hong Kong today to investigate a protest that happened on the campus, where protestors display banned pro-democracy slogans. Some students were displaying slogans including “Liberate Hong Kong, revolution of our times” and “Five demands, not one less”. Pro-independence slogans were also being chanted during the rally yesterday, violating the Hong Kong National Security Law. Sources said the officers will retrieve the CCTV footages from the university’s security department, no one was being arrested at the moment.
