National neonatal review finds more resources urgently needed

SUPPLIED The six level 3 neonatal intensive care units are located at Auckland, Middlemore, Waikato, Wellington, Christchurch Women's and Dunedin hospitals. There also needed to be improved data collection about neonatal intensive care to monitor the effectiveness of any changes. The ministry was continuing its work with the sector to "strengthen neonatal care", he said.
