National Youth Carnival: ‘Government built over 100 sports grounds’


Punjab Univer­sity clinch­es inter-provin­cial compet­itionPESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has said that their administration has so far built over a hundred sports grounds in the province, while work on 40 others is currently underway. He disclosed this while addressing the concluding ceremony of the National Youth Carnival (NYC) at Peshawar’s sports complex on Tuesday. The University of Punjab clinched the carnival by grabbing 11 gold and four silver medals in the 30 different disciplines. The chief minister also inaugurated the newly-constructed Jawan Markaz at the sports complex. The chief minister later gave away the winner’s trophy and cash prizes to the winners and runners-up.
