DHAKA, Jan 1, 2024 (BSS) - The National Social Service Day-2024 will be observed in the country tomorrow at the initiative of the Social Welfare Ministry through different programmes. President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today issued separate messages wishing success of all the programmes taken on the occasion of 'National Social Service Day-2024'. In his message, President Mohammed Shahabuddin said, "I welcome the initiative of the Ministry of Social Welfare to celebrate 'National Social Service Day-2024'." Bangabandhu undertook various welfare programmes giving priority to the development of the poor and helpless people and strengthening social security, he added. He said Department of Social Service has implemented 54 programmes to strengthen the social safety net programme.
