DHAKA, Dec 5, 2023 (BSS) - National Professor Brigadier (retd) Abdul Malik,founder and president of National Heart Foundation of Bangladesh, died at theHeart Foundation at 9:40am this morning. He was 94, a press release of the National Heart Foundation said. In 1978, Malik established the National Heart Foundation in Dhaka's Mirpurarea. In a condolence message, Awami League (AL) General Secretary and RoadTransport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has expressed profound shockand sorrow at the death of National Heart Foundation founder and NationalProfessor Dr Abdul Malik. He said the nation will remember forever the contribution of Prof Dr AbdulMalik in the field of heart treatment in Bangladesh.
