Volunteers of Al-Markazul Islami, an organization who performs the final rites for those dying of Covid-19, buried the professor around 10:35am on Friday after completing all formalities. Before the burial, the Al-Markazul Islami held the namaz-e-janaza of Prof Anisuzzaman at 10:23am. He said the body was brought to the graveyard via specialized ambulance around 9:30am in a coffin draped with the national flag. One of the most pre-eminent educators in Bangladesh, Prof Anisuzzaman breathed his last at the CMH in Dhaka on Thursday.
