The special Lotto Plus Raffle event took place last night, which typically sees between 60 and 120 winners of €500 in every draw. National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Orr said: “What a weekend it’s been for a Lotto player in Cork! Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language. Last year charity Alliance for Immigrant and Refugee Women in Ireland (AkiDwA) secured the top prize as National Lottery Good Cause of the Year, taking home €35,000.
