Subramanian Swamy has taken Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi to court in the matter. Swamy accused Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and others of conspiring to cheat the Congress in a land deal involving the National Herald English daily. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were said to have 38 per cent shares each. Swamy made Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Congress general secretary Motilal Vora, party treasure Oscar Fernandes - all are directors and shareholders of YIL - accused in the National Herald case.
