Clerk of the National Assembly Samuel Njoroge has assured Parliamentary staff of safety even as they resume duty this week. "Your security and safety at the workplace remain a key priority in these plans," Njoroge stated in a message to colleague dated July 19. He thanked each one of the staff for their unwavering commitment and dedication to public service as they resumed their usual duties on Monday. Njoroge also thanked National Assembly staff for their selfless conduct and swift response during the Tuesday, June 25, 2024, Occupy Parliament protest. He stated that the Board of Management is keenly aware that the traumatic events of June 25, 2024, have left an indelible mark on all of them.
