Former Johnny Warren Medal winner Nathan Burns has been shown the door by Wellington Phoenix. Rudan told Stuff after the match that Burns was injured when the Phoenix signed him. Although the Phoenix made offers to keep them, Kurto and Burgess have followed Rudan to expansion club Western United. The Phoenix have just seven players signed on for next season.
