Nasser submits land sale documents to police

more-inThe South Indian Artistes’ Association president, Nasser, has submitted the documents relating to the “fraudulent” sale of the association’s land at Vedamangalam village in Kancheepuram district to the District Crime Branch police on Tuesday, as per the directions of the Madras High Court. Inquiries revealed that SIAA, popularly known as Nadigar Sangam, had bought some land at Vedamangalam village in 1987. Natesan had “fraudulently” sold 26 cents by executing a general power of attorney in favour of N. India Selvam, who had sold the property to third parties. When Mr. Nasser raked up the issue by submitting a petition to the police in September 2017, no action was taken. On Tuesday, Mr. Nasser submitted the documents relating to the alleged sale by the previous office-bearers of the association to the District Crime Branch police.
