Brendan Brothers is one of the co-founders of Verafin, a St. John's-based company that was sold to Nasdaq, it was announced Thursday. Verafin's headquarters will remain in St. John's, Nasdaq said, and the company's executive leadership team will remain in place. Verafin will remain headquartered in St. John's, and Nasdaq will invest in Memorial University's innovation hub The Genesis Centre, the company said Thursday. Brothers said Verafin currently employs about 600 people, mostly in St. John's but some in Toronto and other offices in North America.
