Nasarawa to conduct survey of public schools

The Nasarawa State Government on Thursday said it would carry out a survey of the members of the staff of public primary and secondary schools, as well as facilities with a view to repositioning the sector. The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology in the state, Hajia Fatu Sabo, stated this during a fact-finding dialogue with education stakeholders in Lafia. According to the Commissioner, Governor Abdullahi Sule had already approved the survey to have holistic statistics of both manpower and facilities for the purpose of planning for the sector. Sabo explained that the survey would concentrate on taking an inventory of teachers, securities, nannies, cooks and other cadres of the staff in schools. The Commissioner gave the stakeholders the assurance that they would always be carried along in the implementation of any policy introduced by the government.
