The High Court in Narok has ordered an AP officer who was acting as a key witness in a murder case to be charged. Justice Justus Bwonwonga acquitted suspect Samuel Njenga Muchai and ordered that Corporal Wesley Langat be arrested and be charged for the murder of James Koriankei, 31. Bwonwonga said the evidence of 12 witnesses shows the police officer played a major role in the killing of the deceased. “The evidence of the investigating officer shows that the law enforcer was treated as a suspect alongside the accused,” said Bwonwonga. The judge accused the officer of influencing members of the public to prevent investigating officers from taking photographs at the murder scene.
