A passerby was also injured when the hijackers fired shots during the incident on Saturday, confirmed Siddhirganj Police OC Mashiur Rahman. A passerby was shot and injured and has been sent to Dhaka for medical treatment, OC Rahman said and added that a case was being opened over the matter. According to the police, the hijackers most likely followed Joynal and his cousin from Dhaka. Narayanganj’s Superintendent of Police Zaidul Alam said they are conducting drives to arrest the hijackers.
