THE National Police Commission (Napolcom) has announced the dates of the Philippine National Police (PNP) entrance and promotional exams for 2021. Napolcom Vice Chairman and Executive Officer (VCEO) Vitaliano Aguirre 2nd said the PNP entrance examination will be on July 31 and October 23; the PNP promotional examination on August 1 and October 24; and the PESE written examination on September 12. Napolcom said that if the conditions warrant, the regional offices will prioritize the processing of applications for PNP exams that were scheduled on April 26, 2020 but which did not push through because of the pandemic. Napolcom will also implement minimum health standard protocols before, during and after the examinations. Those who will pass the PNP entrance exams will be eligible for appointment to the rank of patrolman, as prescribed under Section 30 of Republic Act (RA) 6975, also known as the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Act of 1990.
