Gaslighters/narcissists need narcissistic supply. They need that bottomless pit of need filled, and they do not care how they get it filled. In January 2018, Trump said, "Nancy Pelosi, or Nancy, as I call her, doesn't want to hear the truth." One of two things usually happen—the gaslighter either ramps up his attempts to gain narcissistic supply from that source through false flattery or by acting out, or he immediately seeks out another narcissistic supply source. Through her words and actions, Pelosi has made it clear that she will not be filling Trump's narcissistic supply.
