In a video shared by the Ghana Prison Service on March 2, 2026, Nana Agradaa recalled the fear and uncertainty she felt on her first day being transferred to prison. “On my way to prison, I honestly thought I was going to die. Nana Agradaa released from prisonIn her view, the punishment felt unreal, and she could not imagine spending such a long period behind bars. Under Ghana’s standard remission rules, which allow inmates to be released after serving two-thirds of their sentence upon good behaviour, Nana Agradaa was released from prison on March 3, 2026, after serving the required portion of her revised term.
