Name suppression continues for teacher accused of taping kids' mouths shutBEVAN READ A preschool teacher appeared in the Auckland District Court, pictured, on Wednesday. A preschool teacher accused of force-feeding children and taping their mouths shut has succeeded in continuing to keep her name secret. The 59-year-old Auckland woman has pleaded not guilty to 11 assault charges against children and will stand trial next year. Defence counsel for the woman applied for the suppression to continue at a short hearing at the Auckland District Court on Wednesday afternoon. The interim order was continued but a further, substantive argument will be ordered if the woman wants to apply for permanent name suppression.
