The flooded Nakumatt Ukay at Westlands in Nairobi was closed indefinitely Sunday after raging waters washed away goods from its shelves. "Customers within the Westlands and Parklands business districts and their environs can get services at the Highridge store," Ramamurthy said. "Customers at Nakumatt Westgate will enjoy an extended opening hour regime, with a daily branch opening at 7am and closing at midnight," Ramamurthy said. Nakumatt Ukay was one of the chain store's 24-hour outlet and is among the high end facilities that have been affected by floods that have hit Nairobi following heavy rains pounding the city and its environs. He said the management was collaborating with the Ukay Centre landlords among other stakeholders who are on site assessing the situation.
