Nakao reelected president of ADBIncumbent Asian Development Bank (ADB) President Takehiko Nakao was reelected to remain the leader of the Manila-based multi-lateral institution. “It is a great honor to receive the mandate of ADB members to serve as president of the ADB for another five years,” Nakao said. In a statement, the ADB said its Board of Governors has “unanimously reelected” Nakao, hence given a fresh five-year term beginning on November 24 this year. Nakao is the ninth president of ADB and the sole nominee during this year’s election. Prior to joining ADB in 2013, Nakao was a senior official in the Ministry of Finance, Japan, where he gained extensive experience in international finance and development.
