A: I’ve read some Pessoa and Saramago but in English. Q: What aspects of the Portuguese culture did you introduce to your son? I know there were neighborhoods, like Ironbound, in New Jersey, but I’ve never lived in another place where Portuguese culture is very present. A: Everything I’ve read has inspired me to write. A: It has been a lot of fun to contemplate all things Portuguese, Portuguese-American and Portuguese-Hawaiian.
