Najib leaves to Istanbul for OIC meet on Jerusalem issue - Nation

PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is on his way to Istanbul to voice Malaysia's concerns regarding the Baitul Maqdis (Jerusalem) issue to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). In a tweet from his official Twitter account on Tuesday night, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak shared a picture of him waving from an airplane entrance. I am on my way to Istanbul, to bring the voices of Malaysia’s Muslim community on the Baitul Maqdis issue to the OIC extraordinary summit. On Wednesday (Dec 6), US President Donald Trump officially recognised Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. However, in his presidential address at the Umno general assembly on Thursday (Dec 7), Najib said he was confident that the Muslim ummah will never be able to accept the shocking proposal by the United States.
