PEKAN: The gross domestic product (GDP) of Pahang is projected to increase by 1.5% thanks to the upcoming East Coast Rail Line (ECRL) project. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak (pic) said ECRL was the type of iconic game changer project that could encourage growth. Najib said economic activities would be more robust than ever as the ECRL could bring about unimaginable landscape change. Najib added that a survey had found that the Pahang public's approval rate for the ECRL was at 96%. During the event, Najib witnessed the handing over of the RM255.1mil Ganchong water treatment plant from the East Coast Economic Region Development Council to the state government.
