Nairobi to use drones for virus fumigationThe Nairobi County Government plans to begin aerial fumigation of the city against the coronavirus. The health department has announced plans to deploy drones to fumigate the capital, a method which is faster and covers more ground over a short period of time while employing minimal human resource. County Executive for Health Services Hitan Majevdia yesterday told The Standard that City Hall had made a request to the Ministry of Health for procurement of drones to be used in the fumigation of the city. Huge gathering areas such as the Gikomba, Muthurwa, City and Wakulima markets, GPO, mosques and public benches have also been fumigated.
