THE issue of Naira redenomination started gaining traction on social media around September. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has refuted the malicious story. The attack on the naira is one of the many products of corruption bedeviling the nation. They took over and destroyed all the refineries, made them non-functional despite trillions of Naira spent to fix them. Those calling for the redenomination of the naira are the faceless ‘owners’ of Nigeria, attacking the economy with the main aim of wrecking it to enable them to take it over.
