Nigerian musician Azeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley has been convicted and fined by a magistrate court in Abuja for violating COVID-19 lockdown restrictions. Naira Marley was arraigned for a four-count charge by Magistrate Idayat Akanni. The singer and his manager Seyi Awonuga were earlier arraigned Thursday by the Lagos State Police Command. Lagos State spokesman of police command Bala Elkana said Naira Marley and Awonuga committed an offence punishable under Section 58 Public Health Law, Ch. P16, Laws of Lagos State 2015.
