GUWAHATI: Nagaland government and the tribal bodies are heading for a showdown. The body has sought postponement of polls which state cabinet has rejected.Tribal organisations felt that 33 per cent women reservation would infringe into the special rights guaranteed by Article 371(A) of the Constitution. “Therefore the State Election Commission has no alternative but to complete the electoral process as announced. "Zeliang has appealed the tribal bodies not to misuse the unique customary system.Zeliang said the whole country has gone ahead with 33 per cent women reservation. " We will will go ahead with polls."
