Guwahati, February 1 : Nagaland turned more violent after two people were killed and 11 others injured on Tuesday night, while police fired at agitators who protests in the wake of the state government’s decision to hold the Urban Local Body (ULB) polls on February 1. On the other hand, seven others were also injured in police firing in Longleng town, but the Nagaland police denied the report. According to the reports, a youth who was critically injured in police firing was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to injury. The deceased youth was the agitators, who gathered near the private residence of Chief Minister TR Zeliang at 3rd Mile at around 9-30 pm. The protest came more violent, when the state government decided to hold the ULB poll on February 1.
