The midfielder was not named in Guinea’s squad for their clash against Mauritania during the international break as he was struggling with an ankle injury. Keita missed Liverpool’s two fixtures before the break against Fulham and Bayern Munich but returned to training earlier this week and was expected to at least be on the bench against Tottenham. However, despite participating in full training on Friday, Keita has been left out of Liverpool’s squad to face Spurs on Sunday in what could be another injury setback for the midfielder.
