NZ should be the 'high-tech capital of the world'NZTech boss says computational thinking should be taught in primary schools. The technology industry and the Government should position New Zealand as the "high tech capital of the world", chief executive Graeme Muller said. Muller said the expansion of primary industry, particularly dairy farming, was "challenged by the impact of land use on water quality". The technology industry is banging its drum as a dozen industry bodies prepare for a conference that they hope will get the sector's issues higher up the public and political agenda. But the education system was not evolving fast enough to generate enough "local talent" to support the growth of the tech sector, Muller said.
