NZ road toll: 15 crashes, 15 deaths, 7 days1 NEWS The fatal collision occurred on State Highway 2 at Rawiri Road, Mangatawhiri. Two fatal crashes on Thursday night, just 30 minutes apart, added five more people to the road toll in the past seven days. Caroline Perry, Brake's NZ director said: "As an organisation that works with families bereaved in road crashes, we know the devastating and lasting impact they have on loved ones. Then at 11.30pm a woman died in a crash on State Highway 5 at Te Pohue, between Napier and Taupo. Also on Tuesday, a motorcyclist died in a crash with a car in Pakuranga, Auckland, and a man died in a car crash in Otahuhu.
