Taylor Haugh has been selected to play for the NZ Universities team. The 30-member Kansai squad and 23-member NZ Universities squad will train at the university rugby grounds and also spend time sightseeing around the region this week. It is the first time since 1992 New Zealand NZ Universities has played in Dunedin. The only previous game involving New Zealand Universities and a Japanese team in Dunedin was in 1968, when a New Zealand Universities XV was beaten 32-19 by Japan. The university team travels to Japan every other year and in the intervening years hosts Japanese teams.
