The New Zealand Sevens team have topped their pool at the World Series event in Vancouver after an impressive victory over South Africa in their final pool match on Sunday (NZ time). Down 21-0 at halftime, South Africa needed to score quickly after the break. The United States won that tournament, and that is the team New Zealand will meet in their quarterfinal on Monday (NZ time). The US finished second in pool A after losing their final pool game to Australia 31-21.
