NZ Refinery boss quits ahead of inquiryDanMcGrath Sjoerd Post has been chief executive of Refining NZ since 2013. The boss of NZ Refining, the company that owns the Marsden Point refinery and the fuel pipeline into Auckland, has announced he is leaving. Sjoerd Post will leave NZ Refining at the end of July after five years, the company said in a statement on Tuesday. According to NZ Refining, Post told the board of directions of his intention to step down on Tuesday. In December, the new Government ordered an inquiry into the fuel pipeline disruption, which will also assess whether New Zealand's fuel supplies could be made more secure.
