A New Zealand First MP has warned investors to "get rid of" shares in Contact Energy, as it renews its promise to recreate a state-run electricity giant. But Labour ditched its NZ Power plan in 2015, while the Green Party also reformed its proposal to overhaul the sector. Contact Energy shares were offered to the public at $3.10 each back in 1999.
