New details have emerged in a horror wedding-day crash that killed two off-duty NYPD cops just hours after one of them had gotten married. Groom Michael Colangelo, 31, and his friend John M. Martinez, 39, both died when their rented 2018 Maserati crashed into a tree in Ulster County in upstate New York on Sunday night. The two cops were both partially ejected in the crash, and investigators are not yet sure which man was driving, or whether alcohol was a factor in the crash. Police photos from the crash scene show the black sports car completely mangled and totaled after rolling over. Colangelo was an NYPD canine officer and Martinez worked at Brooklyn's 84th Precinct.
