Investigators say the officers found a 28-year-old man threatening his mother with a screwdriver. When he refused orders to drop the weapon, officers say they physically tried to take it away from him and freed his mom in the process. “During that struggle, officers deployed a Taser,” said NYPD Chief of Patrol Terence Monahan. The struggle continued to ensue with the suspect who was still armed with a weapon.
