NYPD Officer Who Fatally Shot Unarmed Bronx Teen Resigns

A white New York Police Department officer who fatally shot an unarmed black teenager five years ago resigned Sunday after learning he would be fired, authorities said. The officer, Richard Haste, was accused of violating police protocol when, in February 2012, he pursued 18-year-old Ramarley Graham and forcibly entered the Bronx apartment where the teen lived. Mr. Haste fatally shot Mr. Graham in the bathroom of the Bronx home.
