NYAY will stop loot: RahulCongress president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said the NYAY (Nyuntam Aay Yojana) would help reverse the flow of capital from the poor to the rich, which was being buttressed by the Narendra Modi government at the Centre. At a rally in Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh, Mr. Gandhi said, “The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government had looted money from the poor to fill the pockets of the rich who had fled the country. NYAY will arrest this trend and increase purchasing power of the poor.” As the unemployment rate had peaked in 45 years, he said, the scheme would “fuel economy” and generate jobs. “Poverty has taken a toll on the manufacturing sector. With less disposable income with people, factories have been forced to shut,” he added.
