I have long been an admirer of The NY Times. Case in point is today’s (Aug 4) lead article on the situation in Ukraine. Russia failed to take Kyiv because of poor planning and strategy and poorer execution. They started with 180,000 troops and equipment they had been exercising on the Ukraine border for weeks and weeks. The editor who allowed that bad piece of work to lead today’s paper should visit the woodshed.
