The New York Giants reportedly filled a major need on Tuesday, signing veteran long snapper Zach Triner. Triner spent the first 5½ years of his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before being waived in 2024. Last season, Triner only appeared in one game, snapping for the Washington Commanders. Casey Kreiter snapped for the Giants from 2020-2025, but chose to join former Giants special teams coordinator Michael Ghobrial with the Arizona Cardinals in free agency. Triner replaced Kreiter, Jordan Stout replaced Jamie Gillan as the punter, and Jason Sanders and Ben Sauls will compete for the placekicking job.
