RAW water allocation from Angat Dam will be reduced for Metro Manila’s domestic use, the National Water Resources Board (NWRB) said on Tuesday. NWRB Executive Director Sevillo David Jr., in a text message, said the board approved the allocation of 44 cubic meters per second (CMS) for the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System and 25 CMS for National Irrigation Administration) for October. This is to “manage the relatively low level of the dam,” David said, noting the dam’s water level is around 3 meters below the minimum operating level of 180 meters. “This is slightly lower than the allocation of Sept at 46 CMS and 30 CMS respectively,” he added.
