KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 31): NWP Holdings Bhd's net loss narrowed by 56.69% to RM1.24 million in the fourth financial quarter ended Aug 31, 2016 (4QFY16) from a net loss of RM2.86 million a year ago, on a lower operating expenses. In a bourse filing today, NWP posted lower 4Q operating expenses of RM1.47 million from RM3.63 million. For the 12-month period (FY16), its net loss widened by 34.16% to RM2.99 million from a net loss of RM2.23 million in FY15, while revenue fell 27.79% to RM12.68 million from RM17.56 million in FY15. Going forward, NWP expects the financial performance of the group to remain satisfactory for the next financial year, barring unforeseen circumstances. NWP shares closed down 0.5 sen or 2% to 24.5 sen, giving it a market capitalisation of RM84.92 million
