The Adamawa chapter of the Nigeria Union of Teachers has kicked against the move for the reversal of the current e-payment for teachers’ salaries in the state. The Adamawa House of Assembly in a recent resolution called for the suspension of the mode of payment and reversal to the ‘table payment ‘ model for three months. According to him, nobody can scrap e-payment of teachers’ salaries in Adamawa. “We are not happy with the house of assembly’s resolution on e-payment for teachers in the state. “Before the implementation of e-payment, teachers were not benefiting from the 27.5 per cent increment on N18,000 minimum wage.
