Ruto meets Kenyans working at Google HQ in USPresident William Ruto met with Kenyans working at Google headquarters during his tour of Silicon Valley in San Francisco, United States (US). Ruto left on Wednesday for his latest trip to the US, his third since becoming president, to promote his ideas on climate change, debt policy changes and technological innovation. On Saturday, Ruto took to his social media to highlight his engagement with the tech giants’ top executives, saying Kenya has a lot to offer American technology and manufacturing companies. “Our strong pool of innovative, skilled and energetic workforce is capable and ready to drive the expansion of these companies across the African continent,” Ruto said. He also cited meetings with Apple and Intel CEOs Tim Cook and Patrick Gelsinger, Google (Alphabet) CFO Ruth Porat and executives from Nike, GAP and Levi Strauss.
