The president claimed that the demonstrations against the Finance Bill were being funded by his opponents. His deputy Rigathi Gachagua, who was in Bomet County, appealed to the youth to call off the demonstrations and give dialogue a chance to address the issues raised by the Gen Zs. The two leaders vowed to deliver on the promises they made to Kenyans, with the President noting that his administration has made several strides in addressing the challenges facing the country, including the high cost of living.
