Matatu owners want insurance company for PSVs only, seek govt supportMatatu Owners Association has asked the government to support them as they plan to have one insurance company specifically for public service vehicles (PSVs). Speaking at a press briefing on Saturday after a consultative meeting, the Chairman of the Matatu Owners Association Albert Karagacha said the move has come after the rise of “rogue insurance companies” which fail to pay claims after accidents resulting in matatu owners losing vehicles. The matatu owners have also asked the Law Society of Kenya to wipe away rogue lawyers who take advantage of them when following claims in court.
