MCAs are being forced by their parties to impeach me: Kawira MwangazaMeru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has alleged that members of the county assembly (MCAs) are being coerced by their parties into tabling an impeachment motion for a second time. Speaking during her monthly press briefing, Mwangaza claimed that some MCAs had revealed in confidence that the whole plan was being orchestrated by mysterious political forces. “You have heard about the impeachment, I have been talking to the MCAs to understand the problem… after calling many MCAs, they say they are being pushed by political parties”. Kawira challenged the MCAs to be thorough in their allegations, adding that the people of Meru have a right to know on what grounds they are planning to impeach their governor. Recently, Meru DG Rev Mutuma was summoned by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) following violence at Governor Mwangaza’s Baite Family Fellowship Okolea programme in Igembe South.
